The Income Tax department conducted flash raids on the properties of Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Rama Mohan Rao which created a huge sensation. IT department conducted raids at the same time in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Chittor which belonged to him, his son and other relatives. More than 20 officials rushed to his house at 5:30 AM at his Annanagar residence. It has been revealed that P Rama Mohan Rao had alleged links with sand mafia which is the reason behind the raid.
Rama Mohan Rao has close relations with mining baron J Sekhar Reddy who has been raided recently. Official seized Rs 136 crores in the recent raids after which the focus has been moved on to Rama Mohan Rao. The raids have been on from the past 7 hours and an official announcement is yet to be out soon. Rama Mohan Rao hails from Bitragunta, Andhra Pradesh.
