Rao Dropped: Girija Vaidyanathan, the new CS of Tamil Nadu

With Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Ram Mohana Rao facing allegations and Income Tax raids, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Pannerrselvam decided to replace him and Rao has been dropped from his position. He has been replaced by Girija Vaidyanathan who has been working as Additional Chief Secretary for the state. She has been also working as the Commissioner of Land Administration.

Girija will keep full hold on all the positions after she received an order from the government. Income Tax raided the houses and chamber of P Rama Mohan Rao on Wednesday and found Rs 30 lakhs in new currency along with 5 kg gold which has been seized. Along with these he has been facing many allegations and is linked up with sand mafia in the state. Girija has been a closely involved in Tamil Nadu state’s administration from the past few years after which she has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary.
