Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa passed away last year in December which led to some massive changes in the Tamil Nadu politics. After many surprises, Palaniswamy took the oath as Chief Minister. Now the Election Commission of India released the notification for the by-election in RK Nagar constituency through which Jayalalithaa represented during the last Assembly elections.

The by-election will take place on April 12th and the candidates can start filing their nominations from March 23rd. The election result will be announced on April 17th. Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa earlier announced that she will contest from RK Nagar constituency in the upcoming by-elections. We have to wait and see who will contest from AIADMK in the announced elections.
