Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar Arrested, Released Later:- Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar who came to debate on corruption involved in Pattiseema project and Polavaram project on Tuesday. He was arrested in Vijayawada and later released.

Arun Kumar, on the demand of TDP MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, came to a public debate on the issue at Prakasam Barrage on Krishna River in Vijayawada. On the other hand, the police also did not allow Buchaiah Chowdary to reach the venue and restrained him.

Interestingly, both the leaders, instead of merely debating about the illegalities in the project, to show their strength at the public meeting, gathered their cadre. Arun Kumar blamed that he would prove that there involved corruption in the construction of Pattiseema. He added that the government did not respond to his questions on this project from last two years. He said that he came to Vijayawada as Buchhaiah Chowdary responded.

On the other hand, Buchhaiah Chowdary stated that he demanded Arun Kumar to prove the corruption allegations involved in this project. He added that Arun Kumar could not see the Godavari River water in the Krishna River. He observed that Arun Kumar unnecessarily blaming government.

Jagan backed Arun Kumar: Devineni Umamaheswara Rao

Meanwhile, AP Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao blamed the Leader of Opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Arun Kumar, that they have been creating obstacles in construction of Polavaram project.

He blamed that Jagan backed Arun Kumar and provoking him against government. He demanded Jagan to show proofs instead of criticizing government.
