Biswabhusan Harichandan Named as the New AP Governor:- After the state bifurcation too, ESL Narasimhan continued as the Governor for Telugu states. Despite of several attempts made by Telugu state governments, the Centre was not in a mood to find a replacement for Narasimhan. Now, Biswabhusan Harichandan has been named as the new Governor of Andhra Pradesh and ESL Narasimhan will continue as the Governor of Telangana. Rastrapathi Bhavan issued orders appointing Biswabhusan Harichandan as the new Governor.

This is the first time, Andhra Pradesh is getting a new and separate Governor after the bifurcation of the state. Biswabhusan Harichandan worked as BJP President for Odisha and is one of the senior leaders of the party. Biswabhusan Harichandan is expected to take charge immediately. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will meet the new Governor once Biswabhusan Harichandan takes charge.
