The Great Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Town Planning department will get launched online from January 20th. This move by GHMC came as to maintain transparency and also to ensure that citizens’ applications were not delayed unnecessarily. Speaking on it GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that the online service would allow an applicant to furnish all the details, upload required maps for seeking building and other permissions. The fee payment could be either made online through credit/debit card or through demand draft at Mee Seva centres.

GHMC is firm with its officials as any delay in process by any of the staff, it would penalize the concern staff with Rs 50 per day. GHMC is also considering to introduce an app to receive complaints and lapses in citizen amenities.
