Junior Badminton: India Beat Sri Lanka:- Indian badminton players are off to a flying start in the BWF World Junior Badminton Championships that started. India bet Sri Lanka in the opening match with 3-0. Indians took 83 minutes to beat Sri Lanka in Group E. Krishna Prasad Garaga and Dhruv Kapila combined to beat Chirath Illepuerumachchi and Gavin Dulsith Moragoda 21-11, 21-10 in just 27 minutes.
Malvika Bansod too had a flying start in women's singles after she ended up winning over Dilmi Dias by 14-21, 21-11, 21-16 in 39 minutes. After making a series of mistakes, Malvika realized and bounced back. Lakshya Sen ended up with a tie against Dumindu Abeywickrama with 21-9, 21-8.
