Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal has decided to split with national head coach Pullela Gopichand and will be working with former coach Vimal Kumar for the upcoming Asian Games. The 24 year old will be moving to Bangalore to train under Vimal for the Asian games which are scheduled to begin from September 19th.
This is the second time, Saina deciding to move away from Gopichand and earlier in 2011, she did the same. But Saina returned within months and apologised to coach Gopichand too. Sources say that the rise of another Hyderabad shuttler PV Sindhu has forced Saina to take this decision and also Saina has not been consistent in winning successive tournaments these days.
