Virata Parvam Analysis
The first half of Virata Parvam looks pale and uninteresting. The slow pace of the film is a barrier and the first half reveals quite less about the story. Sai Pallavi takes the larger screen presence and the film turns interesting right before the interval. The last 15 minutes is interesting and Sai Pallavi steals the show. The cinematography work is quite good and Virata Parvam is shot in realistic locations. The background score saves the film. The performances are good and the first half falls short of the expectations.
The second half of Virata Parvam is a huge misfire as the film offers nothing. The entire second half is utterly disappointing and it offers nothing. Rana and Sai Pallavi save the film with their performances and the cinematography work is excellent throughout the second half. The background score supports the film well. The climax portions are well shot but this alone could not save the film. The second half of Virata Parvam tests the patience of the audience and the film will end up as a huge flop.
Performance
Rana Daggubati, the macho man looks perfect as a Naxalite leader. The actor also excels in the role of Ravanna with perfection. Sai Pallavi steals the show and she gets the most of the screen presence in the film. She is a treat to watch and Sai Pallavi delivered her 100 percent as Vennela. One cannot assume any other actress as Vennela after watching Sai Pallavi's performance. Sai Chand and Eswari Rao as the parents of Sai Pallavi did their parts well. Priyamani and Naveen Chandra suited well as naxalites and Nandita Das played well as a teacher. All the other actors have been good in their roles.
Virata Parvam has a good plot but the film suffers many flaws because of the poor execution. The screenplay and the dialogues should have been far better. The cinematography work is the major highlight of Virata Parvam and both the cinematographers gave their best for the movie. The music is ok and the background score is quite good. The production values are matching and the film is made on a lavish scale. Director Venu Udugula delivers a poor work with Virata Parvam.
Virata Parvam Final Word
Virata Parvam suffers badly because of the poor writing and the bad presentation. The second half of the film is a huge misfire.
