Another University fraud to tax Indian students in US

Herguan University CEO, Jerry Wang had been convicted by the US feds after being charged by 15 visa fraud counts. The investigation regarding the case is not yet complete but the status of immigration of over 450 students in the Herguan University most of whom are Indians is not yet known.

The charges alleged that the bay area university is merely a fraudulent factory for student visas for students coming from abroad to US for education.

The allegations also state that 32 year old Wang had baited the students to his school with was not accredited apart from using fake documents to obtain visas for the students.

The university can counter challenge the certification

The university has 30 days to contest the countermanding of its certification.

The closure of the university would spell the doom of many students who have spent thousands of dollars for nothing. They would either have to find a new school to maintain their visas or return to the parent countries without a degree.

What baffles people is the note in the website that Herguan University is open and conducting classes as usual. The DSO against whom the charges were pressed has resigned and the issue has not affected the University. Students will find classes scheduled as usual
