A new study has suggested that sufferers of dementia would treble by 2050 all over the world. Alzheimer's Disease International revealed that about 44 million people suffer from dementia and the figure is likely to increase to 135 million by 2050, according to reports in BBC.
It is being expected that cases of dementia would rise in poor and middle-income countries, especially South East Asia and Africa, with an increase in their life expectancies, stated Alzheimer's Disease International. Almost 38 percent of the dementia cases are prevelant in rich countries, but by 2050, 71 percent of dementia patients are likely to be from middle-income and poor countries
