IPL 2019: Schedule For The First Two Weeks Announced:- With the Lok Sabha elections heading this summer, the schedule of IPL 2019 is kept on hold and BCCI was not in a mood to shift the venues to other country. The Committee of Administrators (CoA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for two weeks of the tournament and necessary changes will be made for the other dates as per the announcement of the election schedule. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match.

The first match will take place on March 23rd and all the franchises will host at least one home game in the announced schedule. Despite of Lok Sabha elections, CoA is not in a mood to shift the venues to international locales. CoA and BCCI are in touch with the Home Ministry officials and will take the call on the next schedules soon. All the matches will start from 4 PM and the second matches of the day will start at 8 PM. A total schedule of 17 matches has been announced during this two weeks schedule and each team will play four matches each.
