With the Sri Lankan Cricket and the Lankan government deciding to ignore the Indian request to allow their cricket players to continue playing for the on going IPL season-4 matches till May 15 and asking them to come back to Colombo by May 5, the Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly decided to stop payments to the Sri Lankan players.
The BCCI is very angry with the Sri Lankan Cricket for not heeding the request and asking its players to report in Colombo by May 5.
The BCCI sources said the Sri Lankan decision violates the agreements signed by their players before the IPL season started. The Board has also decided to stop making payment of the10 per cent share payable to the Sri Lanka Cricket for violating the agreements.
