India continued to lead the ICC Test Championship table retaining the top spot in the latest rankings released by the ICC rankings committee in Dubai today. This is despite India losing a rating point after the Indian team has drawn three-Test series against South Africa yesterday.
India stood on top with 128 rating points and was leading South Africa by 11points, according to the ICC statement.
England plummeted to the third position having 115 rating points and narrowing the gap with South Africa which stood at 117. England, which went into Ashes competition against Australia with a rating score of 112 points, improved its position to 115 after winning the Ashes 3-1.
Australia has plummeted to the fifth position after reaching 107 rating points with their first ever loss of Ashes trophy in 24 years on its home soil pushing it behind Sri Lanka which has stood at 109 rating points to reach the fourth position.
