The famous London Brige is going to welcome the Olympians from across the world in a diiferent way. A three ton logo of the London Olympics is to be hung on the top arch of the famous bridge. A novel gesture that was highlight the spirit of the games that bring in unity among nations, globally. London 2012 chairman Lord Coe and London Mayor Boris Johnson were the two instrumental in supervising this decoration.
The rings retract from a huge aluminium grid as the bridge raises. Lord Coe said of the £259,817 logo, which is 25m wide and 11.5m tall: “It will excite and inspire.”
The famous bridge will also have the Olympic and Paralympic flags swaying till the events are take place say sources. World-class sporting facilities, new parks and homes are sprucing up the eastern part of the city where the events are to be held. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
