Delhi Daredevils fails to register a win, yet again

Delhi Daredevils had played four matches and until now they managed to not even a single win. Who's to blame?

On Friday, they went head to head with the newest franchise in the series, Sunrisers Hyderabad which has been doing more than fine with only one loss. Its position in the top of the table also adds to the level of game they have been playing on the fields. But yesterday was different.

Delhi Daredevils had batted for the first innings but were severely limited by excellent bowling line up by SRH. The first over itself heralded a poor game with no runs made. Later on, wickets continued to fall in rapid succession while the runs failed to add to the score. Except for the wicketkeeper Jadhav, no one managed to score past 30. Virender Sehwag who was expected to be a threat to the Hyderabadi team was worthless with only 12 runs added to the scoreboard with his efforts. In the end with only 114 runs scored, they stood no chances of a victory.

Sunrisers Hyderabad however tried hard to cheer up Delhi with a poor show on the batting front. Wickets were lost early in the game. Batting was poorer than Delhi, but since there were more contributors to the board than in Delhi, the scores only barely moved past the target. Kumara Sangakkara's dismissal brought fear to the team and Thisara Perera's dismissal put Hyderabad in trouble. Amit Mishra scored a few timely runs apart from his economical bowling winning the man of the match.

Hyderabad: 115/7 (19.2 Ovs)
Delhi: 114/8 (20.0 Ovs)
Hyderabad won by 3 wkts
