Tiger Woods experienced victory in the Bridgestone Invitational making it for the eighth time on Sunday in strongly expressive style. Interestingly, Woods’s seven-stroke victory in the rich World Golf Championships event spontaneously elevates anticipation that he can conclude a five-year major title drought at next week’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
Further to say, Golf’s world number one hasn’t added to his 14 major titles since winning the 2008 US Open. Yet there was no better place for him to warm up for Oak Hill than Firestone Country Club, a course that Woods said just fits his eye. In boisterous noisy conditions, along with a seven-stroke lead going into the fourth round, Woods posted an even-par 70.
Congratulations Woods!
