India's Saina Nehwal won the Australian Super Series title yesterday with 21-18 21-11 scores in a 43-minute contest over Spain's Carolina Marin. This Saina's second major title in the 2014 and first was Indian Open.
The first set between Saina and Marin went neck-to-neck but the 24 year old Olympic Bronze medalist managed to take lead. However, Marin attacked Saina right from the start of second set and took 3-1 lead. Saina bounced back and won eight continuous games and finally displayed her best in the match and won the second set with 21-11.
Saina walked away with USD 56,000 price money and the trophy.
