Germany into the quarter-finals

Germany have reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2014 with win over Algeria in the Round 16. Both the teams did not score a goal in their full-time and when the umpires decided to extend the match by half-an-hour more, Germany struck twice.

Andre Shurrele of Germany opened the account with a goal only two minutes after extra time is played. Then on Algeria played aggressively but it is the German's defense that restricted Algeria. Just when the match is about get finished Mesut Ozil of Germany scored the second goal in the 120th minute. As the time is ticking Algeria were under severe pressure and Abdelmoumene Djabou reached the ball to the German's goal in the 121st minute.

However, the goal could not save Algeria to finish on the losing side. In another match, France beat Nigeria and reached the quarter-finals. Paul Pogba and Joseph Yobo were the goal scorers for France and they will be fighting with Germany in the quarters.
