Nani, a minimum guarantee hero in T – Town. After ‘AlaModalaindi’ he had many expectations on his release ‘Sega’. But, the failure of the film has put him in a dilemma. His release ‘PillaJamindaar’ would be a solace to him or another disappointing film for this upcoming hero? Let’s see;

Story:

Praveen JayaramaRaju, popularly known as PillaJamindaar (P.J) is a guy, who neither believes in relationships nor in emotions. All that matters to him is money. In this scenario, P.J’s grandfather, Rudramaraaju (NaagiNeedu), gives P.J a challenge and tells that if he fulfills the same, he would be getting 5,000 crores. On the other hand, if P.J fails to fulfill any single challenge among the challenges, then he would not be eligible to get that money. As a part of challenge, P.J joins a college in Siripuram. In a due course, he transforms into a complete person and learns that it is not money, but relationships and human values that run the life. Then what happens? Does P.J. win the challenge? Even if he wins, does he accept that money? All these and much more questions would be answered only on Silver Screen.

Performance:

Nani as PillaJamindardid 100% justice to the character and is the main highlight for the film. His body language and his dialogue delivery, the variations he has shown in the emotions are to be appreciated. The direction by Ashok is an added advantage. The characterization of each role, the takeoff of every sequence is good. The film, overall, talks about the worth of the director. Ashok is a proven director. And to this the dialogues of Chandra Shekhar were very good. They have created that emotion in the sequences. The Cinematography by SaiSriram was good enough. The editing done by Praveen Pudi can be a bit better. The performances of Heroine HariPriya are good. BinduMadhavi did not have much to do in the film. The role played by NagiNeedu was regular enough. The other roles played by M.S. Narayana, AvasaralaSrinivas were helpful in running the story. Even NallaVenu’s performance at the end of the film is worth mentioning. the Music scores by Selva Ganesh are average.

Analysis:

Over all, the film is worth watching for one time. But, the story line is no new. There were many films earlier that have come with more or less similar concepts. But, the takeoff of the film and the story was a bit new. To add on to this, every artist did his best, so as every technician. It has to be noted that there were some instances that seemed to be routine. All other elements put together can make this film, any other average flick. But this is a definite solace to Nani, whose earlier film; ‘Sega’ shattered all the expectations. 

Final Word: ‘PillaJamindar’, a one time watch.
