Movie for pro-Telangana elements

Jai Bolo Telangana’, produced and directed by N. Sankar, is obviously meant for hard core-Telangana elements.  Sankar mixes a love story with Telangana agitation and shows it as a sacred war (Pavithra Yuddham).

Bandagi Gopanna, played by Jagapathi Babu, hails from a family of Telangana martyrs. Gopanna’s father and grandfather die for the sake of Telangana and of course Gopanna also dies for the same cause.

His son Varshith, played by Sandeep, prefers to lead a peaceful life and wants to keep off the agitation. He falls in love with Sahaja, played by Meera Nandan, but in course of time comes to know how serious the problems of Telangana people are and obviously takes the plunge by joining the ongoing Telangana movement. While he is busy in the movement, Sajaha gets engaged to a political leader of Andhra area.

The movie is totally one-sided and Sankar says that the agitation for the united AP is instigated by some politicians and business people who have interests in the Telangana area.

The movie solely concentrates on developments that occurred in December 2009 and the director touches only trivial matters instead of highlighting important things such as the violation of agreements made at the time of formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Sankar drags on the movie with a poor screenplay and showing the Andhra politicians as villains. Sankar obviously made the movie with a poor commercial motive and ignored the real causes of the Telangana movement.

If you want to advocate division of the state of AP, go immediately see the movie but don’t expect any logic. Otherwise, keep off it.
