Dear Zindagi Story
The movie revolves around Kiara (Alia Bhatt) who is a cinematographer. Kiara's life is all messed up as she had a breakup with Sid (Angad Bbedi) and then with Raghuvendra (Kunal Kapoor). Kiara has lots of dreams but because of her breakups, she is going into the depression. So, she travels to Goa where she meets Dr Jehangir Khan / Jug (Shah Rukh Khan) who is a psychiatrist. She requests Jug to give her therapy. The rest of the movie is about how things change in Kiara's life. Watch the movie to know rest of the story.
Dear Zindagi Analysis
Gauri Shinde's movie 'English Vinglish' starring Sridevi was a hit. 'Dear Zindagi' is a colourful saga of love and life. The arresting and pictorial backdrop of the film is attracting. Alia looks simple and very natural in the film. Shah Rukh has surely spread his charming personality look in this movie. The story has life lessons and very much contemporary and has a brilliant appeal to all the youngsters out there. The characters are real and problems are relatable. The second have is the little bit slow. As in English Vinglish Sridevi gave a speech which touched many hearts, Dear Zindagi doesn't have any such scene which you really want to see or listen again.
Performance
Alia Bhatt has performed really very well and has beautiful and bubbly nature has impressed the audience. She is there in every scene of the film but carries the entire movie on her shoulder brilliantly. Shah Rukh Khan in the movie is quite different. He is charismatic but subtle. He is funny but real. No other actor could have done justice to the role of Dr. Jug.
