Eight Americans of Indian origin are going to receive prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honour this year. These medal will be handed over to 100 immigrants to the United States every year for the community service and eight Indians are listed among 100 names to receive these medals for 2012.

Ellis Island was the gateway to the United States earlier.

He’s known to have made several contributions to NGOs. Dr Sanji Chopra is a professor at Harward Medical School and author of five books.
