AP Government in Plans for a New Law for Women Safety:- The Government of Andhra Pradesh is in plans to bring new legislation to take strict action against the crimes committed against women in the state. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced this during his speech in the Assembly during the winter sessions. He said that they would be speedy justice against all those culprits who are announced accused. YS Jagan also appreciated Telangana Chief Minister KCR for taking action in Disha's case that created a sensation across the country.

YS Jagan said that the investigation in any case related to women should be completed in 21 working days. The proposed bill would be introduced in the house next week. It also includes zero FIR which says that the police can register a case anywhere irrespective of their jurisdiction for women's safety. YS Jagan also said that the AP Government kept a keen on watch on social media and all those who post abusive comments on women will be arrested and stringent action would be taken.

YS Jagan also cited pornography as the other reason for crimes against women. Though porn sites are blocked, people are watching them. He reminded that the AP Government closed 43,000 belt shops across Andhra Pradesh.
