Apple has invited the reporters mentioning that the show they started is not over yet. They taunted them saying, "We've got a little more to show you." However it has not hinted at the gadged they would be unveiling but we can make a good guess that it would be the much hyped and awaited Apple iPad Mini.
The invites rolled out were for next Tuesday in San Jose, California. It was always in the rumor mills that Apple has been planning a iPad Mini to compete with the leading section of tablets in the market that are avaiable at a smaller size that its conventional 10.1 inch models. Several leaks also showed choppy pictures of the device still under production.
The gadget would be priced at half of the regular new iPad from Apple, it is speculated. It is set to start at $249 or $299 while the New iPad is for sale starting at $499. It is expected to compete with the latest Kindle Fire HD which as more than decent offerings at the modest under $200 dollar tag. It would also be a big competitor to the best in the segment according to recent surveys, the Google Nexus 7.
The smaller iPad if the rumors are true would have a 7.8 inch screen, measured diagonally which is slightly bigger than the other 7" form factors available today.
