Delhi court directs police to book case against Kiran Bedi

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Bansal of Delhi today directed the Delhi Police to register FIR against former IPS officer Ms. Kiran Bedi and investigate the allegations that she had cheated and misappropriated funds in collusion with foreign companies and other foundations.

The orders were issued following a complaint lodged by Delhi-based lawyer Devinder Singh Chauhan against Kiran Bedi, a prominent member of the Team Anna which has been waging a war against corruption.

Mr. Chauhan said in his complaint that Kiran Bedi had looted various paramilitary forces and state police organizations on the pretext of imparting free computer training by India Vision Foundation, a trust promoted by her.

“She is getting lot of money from abroad as donation to her trusts and the Enforcement Directorate should probe the funds,” he appealed. (JUBS)
