Starting Monday, option forms for the admission of the first-year enginerring and degree courses is about to go online.

"All the details of thseat distribution for the enginering courses would be released on our website on friday but the submition of option forms online would begin only on Monday", S K Mahajan, the state director of the technical education said.

The final merit list for the Centralized Admission Process CAP was released on Thursday by the DTE. However complete details regarding the same have not be released yet for the CAP schedule in the next phase, submission of forms, confirmation and verifications at the application reception Centers ARCs  and the timetable of the CAP rounds.

This year and onwards, a common admission process would be in place for all the autonomous and non autonomous engineering colleges. DTE also confirmed that the delay in the schedule is only due to the sanction of new engineering colleges by the technical education regulating body of India, AICTE. It also mentioned that the sanction of the colleges and the finalization of the seats are in the final stage.

The sanction would cause a meagre rise in the total number of colleges and seats which now stand at 348, and 1.34 lakh respectively taking into cosideration all the engineering, health sciences and pharmacy colleges.
