Why this Kolaveri Di turns Where is Democracy Di in Pakistan

Not enough of Indian success, the actor turned lyricist and singer Dhanush’s song `Why This Kolaveri Di?’ has turned even our (friendly) neighbors Pakistan to croon their own version. The song a part of the flicker directed by Aiswarya Dhanush in, to be released Tamil film `Mundru (3)’ has reached frenzy heights on the info highway and the social gateway. It has crossed over twenty five million hits ever since its launch on `You Tube,’ taking the song to distant lands.

Even a fortnight after its release, Facebook pages continues to have at least three news item related to this song and some ten thousand people liking it. But the latest is that a group of Pakistani enthusiasts have come up with another version of 'Kolaveri Di' which is more of a political comment than a song. The song is called 'Where is Democracy Di' and features five middle aged men who are apparently tired of the Pakistani government. The satire is an attempt to show the nexus between the politicians and corrupt market forces.

Wonder why Anna Hazare’s fans have not crooned their own version of `Why this Corruption Di?’ may be shortly we can get someone doing their bit by crooning the song, as a service towards highlighting the corruption standards prevailing.
