The YSR Congress Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is the man of the day. Turn any media sources from the state, the chaos, is all about Jagan. As I was walking and commuting, anywhere and everywhere today across the city, heavy security has been in place and people were guffawing all about this MP from Kadapa. While there are people blaming him for the discrepancies, there were equal or slightly more number of people sympathizing him too.
Well India is a country of sentiments and the south is the birthplace of this, I suppose. As the sympathizers who fail to believe even if a verdict is passed against him. And all they contend to mark is that the action was vindictive. On the other hand we have another set of people who get provocative at the slightest rumor and blame the leader for discrepancies.
However such contrasting traits do not agree with each other, on any grounds and stick to their opinion. Yet both these kinds of people live under the same roof and eat the same food too. That is Andhra!!! We believe Unity in diversity. This one point was nailed down in my hard disk at what I saw today.
The CBI inquiry into Jagan’s business empire and the source of its funds was ordered by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in August 2011. CBI alleges that when the late YSR was in office, he had abused his power and conspired with the ministers to influence entrepreneurs to invest in his son’s companies for favors from the government. Today is the third day that CBI is questioning the young leader. Probably on Monday, CBI will meet him in court.
Meanwhile Enforcement Directorate also plans to question Jagan on the issues based on the statement made by Nimmagadda Prasad. They would also question him on the funds flowing from the companies of Vanpic, Bharathi, Carmel and other companies into the companies of Jagan.
Coming back to our core issue is Jagan the hero!! This thought persists the common man, whether or not. Poor man is unable to decide and is perplexed. Leaving rumors and forecasting the possible outcomes behind, judicially (when I say this, it purely means logically) the situation must be assessed. Now everything has turned black and white and shortly or rather by tomorrow, may be the verdict will be announced or if not atleast in process.
Given the reality, Jagan is neither a Hero nor a Criminal (as many leaders claim). Allegations have come up on the son of the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy; till they are proved he is just like you and me. If he could get them disapproved then he is no less than a herculean Hero. On the other hand if the CBI proves (undoubted) the allegations and if Jagan fails to prove allegations wrong then one must think the other way. However the case is just fluid and going by a media source based on analysis and speculations will only influence the reader’s opinion.
