Is Ramdev Baba planning to come to politics? May be yes, say the critics. The yoga guru's sudden shift from religious teachings to politics gave raise to many speculations already and the Baba continues to strengthen these speculations by trying to over shadow anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare and project himself as strong anti-corruption leader by meeting several political leaders. After Sharad Pawar, it’s Chandrababu Naidu. Yes, Ramdev Baba met Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Monday and sought his support in his fight against corruption.
While Team Anna was determined over strong Jan Lokpal Bill and fighting corruption, Ramdev Baba took the same path. He declared he was against corruption and extended support of Anna Hazare. Later, there was reportedly a rift between Anna Team and Ramdev Baba. And the latter started his own campaign against the black money. He has been meeting several leaders across the country and seeking their support in fighting corruption. But the irony is that the person who he intends to meet (Chandrababu Naidu) has faced severe corruption allegations and once CBI probe on him was also ordered. In fact, Kola Krishnamohan who duped banks for several crore rupees alleged recently that Chandrababu Naidu has multiple Swiss bank accounts in his name. In fact, Chandrababu Naidu is going to support Anna’s fight as well as Ramdev’s appeal. Not just Babu but any political leader would support because that’s how a leader will come to power.
If XYZ in politics are enemies and all are corrupted...and when A launches fight against corruption, Z will support A only to take on X and Y...it doesn't mean Z is not corrupted.
It looks like Ramdev Baba is enjoying the limelight. He was once in spotlight only as a yoga teacher and now he threw himself amidst active politics. If Ramdev really joins politics, will he join any political party and form his own party is a million dollar question now. Anyway, if Ramdev's fight was really genuine he should have not needed any political support. Remember...it was leaders who sent letters to Anna Hazare extending their support. Anna never met any politician in person.
