Leaders should focus more on devp than bifurcation issues

With many Congress leaders from the state meeting home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Telangana issue once again came into news. Yes, as guessed, these leaders from the state met Mr Shinde not to discuss the development of the state nor to provide extra security to women, but on Telangana issue. Why is it that leaders' full concentration is on Telangana? Is it not because of the same that the current progress has been getting hampered? It is known that the Centre took the responsibility and it also said that decision on Telangana would be delivered soon. And obviously the matter is in the court of the Centre.

It is, in fact, necessary for all leaders to let the Centre do its work. Already all party meeting was over and Mr Shinde said that he was happy about the meeting. This all party meeting itself was an official consultation process. So, there should be no need for any political party leader to approach the home minister on this particular issue as it would be sending across wrong signals to other political parties, opined observers. Therefore, Congress should make sure that it's leaders don't meet the home minister on this very issue until the former asks them to come and give their opinion.

The observers in the state that bifurcation issue aside, there are apparently many problems in the state that need to be addresses swiftly. Just like how law will take it's own course of action, leaders should also understand that Centre will take it's course of action on the matters pending with them, stressed observers. So, if we go by observers' words, leaders should stop allotting too much of their time on statehood issue and shift their focus on developing their constituencies better.
