Arvind Kejriwal has been a showstopper for the last one year or so. With stupendous victory in Delhi elections, Kejriwal crowned the Delhi in-charge seat, however resigned to the post within 50 days. From then, Kejriwal has been active in the national politics.
By announcing that he would contest against Narendra Modi from Varanasi, Kejriwal has been the in headlines for quite sometime. After listing over 400 Lok Sabha candidates, Kejriwal is actively campaigning for his party across the country. But his election campaign is giving him nightmares as Kejriwal got attacked several times.
On March 25th Kejriwal campaigned in Varanasi where he was welcome with eggs. Later in the AAP rally, a man attacked Kejriwal with black ink. On April 5th a 19-year-old resident of Jamia Nagar, Abdul Wahid, in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area punched Kejriwal and yesterday an auto driver slapped him in his roadshow.
Well but wonder why these men are attacking Kejriwal. While going into the details, in Varanasi incident was a pure political oriented attack and the remaining two attacks in Delhi are the people's anger. As we all know the Kejriwal resigned to the Chief Minister post due to the rejection of Jan Lokpal bill in Delhi Assembly.
But people of Delhi expected Kejriwal to be the CM post for a fair governance. With announcing his election promises of extra water and other privileges, Kejriwal became a hero within the short gap. After resigning, the Delhi went for a President's Rule and the demands in Delhi are still in pending. Shifting the gears from there Kejriwal was always in headlines for no reasons. Is this hunger for media expose? Well we really don't know the answer.
Moreover what has Kejriwal achieved by stepping down from CM post and what eligibility he has to contest against Narendra Modi. Well any common man can contest against Modi but Kejriwal has been the voice of public but his anti-Modi remarks did not really impress the people. It was his perception to think beyond imagination after doing nothing to Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal may indeed be a great man who can forgive who have slapped him but not anymore as he dropped a golden opportunity to prove his mettle.
