YSR Congress party leader and candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha by election Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy threw the election code to the winds on Sunday when he visited various polling booths along with hid gunmen and nearly 70 followers.
Starting from Pulivendula in a convoy of 16 vehicles, Jagan visited polling stations in Prodduturu, Jammalamadugu, Mydukuru and Kadapa not caring for the election commission’s code of conduct.
When he visited a polling booth in Khajitpet, he bumped into Nirmala, daughter of the congress candidate Dr DL Ravindra reddy. One of the Jagan men commented that Nirmala and her friends had come to cast bogus votes resulting in a clash.
Immediately, Sakshi channel staff tried to shoot Nirmala and her friends but congress workers immediately objected to the shooting and destroyed the Sakshi Channel’s DNNG vehicle.
Next, he entered into a polling booth in Alamkhan palli along with his body guards which was objected to by the congress workers. Jagan went out of the polling booth when police officials came and asked him to send the guards outside.
Jagan, in the name of inspecting the booths, entered several polling stations during the day along with his security guards and several of his supporters violating the code of conduct.
