T region congress leader Gone Prakasa rao said today that the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy is not against creation of Telangana state. “Jagan and his party will abide by the decision of the Centre on the issue,” Gone told media men at Mahaboobnagar after a meeting of the supporters of Jagan.
Jagan party will have its units in the two states even if the state is divided into Telangana and Seema Andhra, he said.
He said some of the leaders have been keeping quiet after getting political posts in the name of Telangana agitation and warned such leaders would be taught a lesson by the people.
Meanwhile, Bhumana Karunakar reddy, an important leader in the Jagan group said in Hyderabad that thousands of students will attend the one day fast to be undertaken by Jagan on February 18 in Hyderabad in support of the demand of the students for the immediate release of funds towards the fee reimbursement.
Releasing a poster to mark the occasion of fasting programme, the ex TTD chairman said that Jagan is not inviting any MLAs to participate in the fast. “The fast will begin at 11am at the Indira Park on February 18,” he said.
