TDP senor leader MV Mysoora reddy said today that he was not personally interested to contest the by election either for the Pulivendula assembly seat or for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat but hastened to add that he was ready to contest from anywhere if the party desired.
Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Mysoora reddy said the party would announce the candidates after the Telugu New Year festival Ugadi. “I have no personal interest to contest but I am ready to contest if the party leadership directs me,” he said when asked about his name being finalized as the candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
Mysoora said that party president Chandrababu would take a decision on the issue after having wide ranging consultations with party leaders. Explaining that TDP has better chances of victory in both Pulivendula and Kadapa because of the spilt in the congress votes, he said his party has requested the Election Commission to take proper steps to see that parties and candidates would not resort to using their money power in the by elections.
