With rumours of Vijayawada turning into an imminent capital city of Seema Andhra being afloat abundantly in coastal areas, the land prices in and around it have skyrocketed in the past few days.
According to a news story telecast by TV channel today, the land prices in a 50 km radius of Vijayawada have gone up at rocket speed and the price of an acre is any thing between Rs. 20 lakh and Rs.60 lakh at Hanuman Junction, Nuziveedu and Mylavaram and the nearby areas. “The price of an acre is much higher near Vijayawada,” the channel said.
The politicians of Seema Andhra are now busy accumulating lands and an MP and some MLAs of the Vijayanagaram district have already bought hundreds of acres of land in these areas with a view to earn some big money after the capital city formation.
The selfish politicians have gone to the extent of campaigning that the works of inner and outer ring roads of Vijayawada are being carried out for turning it into the Capital city of Seema Andhra.
