As the world renowned spiritual teacher Sri Satya Sai Baba continues to survive on ventilator giving sleepless nights to his lakhs of devotees, sources said that there won’t be any successor to lead the Prasanthi Nilayam which was presided over by him till now.
Even if the soul of the Baba leaves his body now, Prasanthi Nilayam will not have a successor and the abode will continue to be a major spiritual centre with out any spiritual teacher. But it will be a ‘second Shirdi’ in the country, according to Prasanthi Nilayam sources.
Satya Sai declared on July 6, 1963 that he was the successive incarnation of Shirdi Sai and explained that the Sai Avatar was a triple spiritual phenomenon.
“Shirdi Sai Baba was the incarnation of Lord Shiva, I am his successive Avatar with the combined elements of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvthi meaning Shiva and Sakti and my successive Avatar will be that of Prema Sai representing the character of Shakti. The spiritual Guru also indicated that Prama Sai would take birth in Mandya district of Karnataka.
It is said that Shirdi Saibaba declared before his death in 1918 that he would reappear in the Madras Presidency 8 years after his death. Sri Satya Baba, born in 1926, later announced that he was the successive Avatar of Shirdi Sai Baba.
