T lawyers numbering around 50 today demonstrated in front of the house of Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva rao in Hyderabad and raised slogans against him.

Holding ‘Jai Telangana’ placards and demanding him to cancel the proposed meeting of Seema Andhra MLAs, MPs and MLCs of the congress party at his residence on March 5 to oppose the Telangana formation, the lawyers demonstrated for some hours and tried to trespass into his house. But, they were effectively blocked by the police who were present in large numbers.

Saying that they are not against the Seema Andhra people who are staying in Hyderabad, the lawyers said they had come to give a letter to Kavuri requesting him not to conduct the meeting on March 5 and asked police to allow them to go inside to meet him. But police did not allow them saying the MP was not at home.

The lawyers said they are only opposing the business leaders of the Andhra region as they are blocking the formation of Telangana. “If you don’t support the Telangana cause, we will not allow you to move in Hyderabad,” they threatened Kavuri and other MPs who are involved in various businesses in the city. The lawyers were arrested by the police.
