BJP senior leader and leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha Ms. Sushma Swaraj today reiterated her party’s support to the formation of the Telangana state saying BJP is ready to extend support to the Telangana Bill in the parliament.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad this afternoon, Sushma demanded the centre to introduce the Telangana Bill in the parliament immediately. “If you introduce the Bill, we will support it,” she said.

The BJP leader was on her way to Karimnagar to participate in the ‘Telangana Poru’ public meeting organized by the party demanding the formation of Telangana state this evening. Several pro-Telangana organizations extended support to the meeting. Telangana JAC chairman Prof. Kodanda ram is also likely to participate in it along with leaders of several caste-based outfits.

Sushma Swaraj demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh too should be brought under the purview of Lok Pal Bill. “The office of the Prime Minister should also be covered by the Lok Pal set up to end corruption in higher places,” she said.

To a query, she said she has no differences with her senior party leader Arun Jaitly.
