3 cong MLAs resign in first batchAs part of the decision of the T congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs to quit their legislative posts en masse seeking an immediate decision on the formation of the Telangana state, three congress MLAs quit the assembly in the first batch today.

Jubilee Hills legislator Mr Vishnuvardhan Reddy became the first congress MLA of the Telangana region to quit his assembly membership in support of the demand for separate Telangana.

Vishnuvardhan Reddy met the Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in his chambers in the assembly and submitted his resignation. Speaker N. Manohar is in the US attending the NATA celebrations.

While rebel congress legislator Konda Surekha of Parakala constituency of Warangal district also submitted her resignation to the Deputy Speaker, Bhupalapalli MLA Mr G.Venkataramana Reddy who is now in the US, sent his resignation to the Deputy Speaker through fax.

4 TDP rebels submit assembly

Four rebel legislators of TDP had sent their resignations to the speaker's office on Sunday from their hunger strike camp at Indira Park. Suspended MLA Nagam Janardhan reddy and other rebels Harishwar reddy and Venugopala chary sent their resignation letters.

Meanwhile, reports said ministers from Telangana have sought an appointment with Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to submit their resignations. They along with the legislators met at the residence of Panchayat Raj Minister Jana Reddy before leaving for the assembly to resign.

Further reports said that the central leadership had invited the T congress leaders to Delhi for talks but Minister K. Venkat Ramreddy told reporters that there was no question of going to the capital unless the centre agreed to form a separate state.

Nine MPs of Congress have reached Delhi to submit their resignations to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
