The bus yatra of the TDP Telangana Forum turned tense on the fourth day today as the TDP leaders and activists beat up students at Hanumakonda in Warangal district when the yatra was obstructed.
When the yatra reached the Hanumakonda Centre in the afternoon, some two dozen students stopped the yatra and created a ruckus. They said the TDP had no right to conduct the Yatra without the party chief Chandrababu Naidu disclosing his stance on Telangana officially. The TDP activists tried to reason out with them and requested them to give way to the yatra.
As the adamant students refused to listen, the TDP men beat up the students and warned them not to think of coming in the way of bus yatra in the future.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred when a lone man questioned the stance of the TDP Telangana Forum at Huzurabad and got the beatings in return from the Telugu brothers.
The TDP leaders came down heavily on the TRS and the congress in their speeches at Warangal saying that the congress was the number one enemy for Telangana and TRS was the party of collections and elections.
