T cong leaders arrested

mptelanganaRamnagar police of Hyderabad city today arrested T congress leaders and their supporters when they were on their way to Osmania University campus to announce support to the students who began a mass indefinite fast this morning demanding separate Telangana and removal of F 14.

The arrested leaders included MPs Madhu Yashki Goud, Vivek, Gutta Sukehder reddy, Manda Jangannadham, Rajaiah and MLA Jupudi Krishna Rao.

The MPs and their supporters left for the OU campus after a meeting at the Exhibition grounds but the Ramnagar police stopped them at the Vidyanagar cross roads and asked them go back as  there were prohibitory orders in the university campus and no body except the students and teachers would be allowed into the campus.

The T congress leaders resisted for a while and when the police strictly asked them to go back, the MPs and MLAs resorted to a sit-in on the main road disrupting traffic on the busy Sankarmutt road. As cajoling did not yield results, the police arrested them and sent them to different police stations in the city.
