Throwing to the winds the assurances of leaders of TRS and Telangana political JAC on the safety of lives and properties of Seema Andhra people in and around Hyderabad, TRS activists and their supporters on Friday attacked the farm house of Seema Andhra business man P. Krishnam Raju situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad and destroyed the trees and drip irrigation pipelines.
Nearly hundred activists of the TRS went in vehicles to the farm house ‘Prashanthy Vanam’ at Buchanpalli in Marpalli Mandalam of Rangareddy district and destroyed the main gate and uprooted its pillars with crowbars, all the way raising slogans against Seema Andhra TDP leader Payyavula Keshav who threatened to form suicide squads for bombing in case Telangana is created.
The farm house belonged to Mr Krishnam Raju of Bapatla in Guntur district. It was more than 15 years since the Seema Andhra man developed his farm house to his liking.

Once inside, they cut off more than 30 mango and other trees grown in the farm house and also destroyed the pipelines meant for drip irrigation. They then called the supervisor Mr Rahgu and asked him to inform his owner to vacate the land with in 30 days. “Or else, this will repeat,” they threatened him. “Tell your people that this is not the end but only a beginning,” they warned the supervisor.
The activists alleged Krishnam Raju had illegally occupied 40 acres of Government land allotted to the village poor people some 20 years ago and he must hand over the land to the villagers. “The other Seema Andhra people having farm houses near Hyderabad will face the same raids in the near future,” they threatened the supervisor.
On a complaint by the supervisor, police later arrested 12 members who participated in the destruction of the garden.
No encroachment
Krishnam Raju told a Telugu daily that he didn’t encroach the land of Buchanpalli as alleged by the TRS activists.
“I purchased 120 acres of land belonging to the Nagireddy palli village of Kohir Mandalam in Medak district. If any revenue survey establishes that my farm house contains government lands of Buchanpalli village, I will surely leave the land to the village people,” he said.
