KCR, Kodanda responsible for power crisis: CM

KCRKodandaAs the mass general strike by 4 lakh T employees reached the 21st day today and the power scenario looked very grim, CM Mr Kirankumar Reddy squarely blamed TRS Chief Mr KCR and the Telangana political JAC chairman Prof. Kodanda Ram for the power cuts imposed on farmers and their crop losses.

Speaking to the congress party workers of Adilabad district at his camp office in Hyderabad this morning, Kirankumar reddy said irrigation in nearly 70 lakh acres was affected in the state because of the power cuts which became a necessity due to the on-going mass general strike.

“KCR and Kodanda ram are responsible for crippling the coal production in the state and for stopping water to the farmers at a time when they most needed it,” he said and asked the congress workers to resist the attempts of KCR and Kodanda ram.

Saying that the RTC was on the path of recovery after suffering huge losses, he asked the staff of the Singareni Collieries and RTC to give up the strike and return to work immediately for the benefit of the public.

The chief minister asked the employees to wait for the decision of the Centre on the Telangana issue and call off their strike. “No one is against Telangana,” he said.
Kirankumar reddy said that 40,000 new ration cards would be distributed in the Adilabad district from Oct 15 onwards

Kodanda retaliates, blames CM

Meanwhile, Kodanda ram said that the Chief Minister was telling lies on the power situation. “The strike was not responsible for the present power situation in the state. The present situation was the result of the power being sold out to other states by the private power producers in the state.

Speaking to media persons in Delhi, Kodanda ram said that Kirankumar could have spoken to the PM for supply of power if he is really interested in solving the power crisis in the state.
