T cong MLAs to observe protests on Nov 1

TcongMLAsCongress MLAs of the Telangana region today decided to observe protests in all Telangana districts opposing the AP Formation Day celebrations on Nov 1 in order to put more pressure on the Centre on the Telangana issue.

The MLAs, who met at the Central Court Hotel in Hyderabad, demanded the government to announce special package to the farmers who have suffered heavy losses due to the 42-day employees’ strike in Telangana.

The MLAs also asked the Government to declare all Telangana districts as drought-affected and cancel all cases registered against the pro-Telangana leaders and activists during the strike period.

Meanwhile, the T congress MPs appealed to the former minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy to postpone his indefinite fast to a later date from Nov 1.

Konda Lakshman garners support

INTUC and several people’s organizations pledged their support to the proposed one-week fast to be undertaken by the freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji from Nov 1 at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Bapuji will begin his fast after paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Bapu Ghat demanding the introduction of Telangana Bill in Parliament.
