Senior congress leaders in the state today held discussions with Panchayat Raj Minister Jana Reddy on the demand for separate state of Telangana.

Congress leaders Gade Venkata Reddy, JC Diwakar Reddy and Damodar Reddy have put forward some proposals on the division of the state in their discussions with Jana Reddy. But the senior leaders have refused to reveal the proposals to journalists.

“We have some proposals on dividing the state but we don’t want to reveal them to the media at this stage,” they said, adding they would disclose them at the most appropriate time.

They opined that a permanent solution is needed to settle the demand for Telangana state once and for all. (JUBS)
