A major fire accident occurred in the midnight hours of Wednesday, at a furniture showroom, in Saroor Nagar, Hyderabad. Huge property loss was reported and no loss of life or injury is recorded in the accident. Late night at around 2 am, a short circuit was the cause of the accident. Fire broke out in the showroom alarming the residents of the colony. Immediately police were summoned, who instantly put the fire brigade at work. The fire engulfed the complex and fierce fire fighting was done to extinguish the flames. Sources say that the fire fighting by abled fire fighting personnel took over two hours to douse the flames.

Initial investigations conducted in the early hours of the day indicated the fire was due to a short circuit in the complex. Estimates revealed that huge loss of property had occurred, while none were injured. The owners of the shop, who reached the shop after information, were literally shattered.
