T Cong MPs serve ultimatum on high command

In a clear warning to the Congress high command, Telangana congress MPs made it clear they would continue disrupting the Lok Sabha business till Telangana is announced by the Centre.

Addressing media persons in Delhi after stalling the House for the second consecutive day today, T congress MPs Mr Manda Jagannadham and Mr Gutta Sukhendar Reddy said they have asked the party high command not to postpone its decision on the Telangana issue further.

“We told AP affairs in-charge Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad that already the high command has postponed its decision several times and further postponement of a decision on the issue will destroy the congress party in the state,” they told journalists.

Jagannadham said they had stalled the House proceedings today despite the request of Azad not to do so. “We will continue to stall the business in Parliament,” he said.

The T congress MPs made a fervent appeal to the Seema Andhra congress leaders not to prevent the formation of Telangana state. “If you try to prevent the formation of the T state, you will face serious consequences,” they warned the opponents of Telangana.

The leaders also called upon the Telangana youth and students not to resort to suicides. (J)
