The Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan has said expressed his happiness for being appointed as the Governor of the State for the consecutive second term. He has said that he would start his second innings from May 3. Narasimhan said it was his duty to take care of the state and mentioned that people in the state were like his children. Meanwhile, VIPs visited the Raj Bhavan and congratulated ESL Narasimhan. The people who have met him include the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Madhan B Lokur, the chairman of the state human rights commission Justice Nissar Ahmed. The TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu has telephoned the Governor and conveyed his wishes.

When the reporters asked to which post gave him complete satisfaction—whether the intelligence chief post or the Governor post—ESL Narasimhan has said that he got satisfaction in whatever work he did. When asked problems in life, ESL Narasimhan has said that problems are part and parcel of life and one should overcome them bravely.  He has condemned the news that appeared in some news channels that stated Governor send reports to the Centre.
