The Central Bureau of Investigation-which is probing Jagan's illegal assets case-has served notices on another two ministers in connection with the alleged irregularities by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The ministers who received the notices are Geeta Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah. They are now required to appear before the CBI. The CBI is looking to the controversial 26 government orders that were issued during the rule of late Y S Rajashekara Reddy.
The CBI is likely to question these ministers on Brahmini Steels. It may be noted that Ponnala Lakshmaiah was the minister of major irrigation then and Geeta Reddy was the minister of industries.
Also, it looks like the CBI is going to grill the IAS officers further in the case. CBI sleuths have sought the permission of the government to prosecute some IAS officers in connection with the irregularities.
What will happen if government nods to the request of CBI? A few more IAS officers are going to be arrested? Lets keep our fingers crossed!
